I continue searching for the lady’s memories in the Hotel. The hotel employees knew about Carol and Mayor Bartlett’s affair, and were concerned about the health of Clayton.

I find three postcards the lady is looking for. They are from Hospital, Amusement Park, and Lake in Silent Hill…

“A Hotel employee, Paul, saw Mayor Bartlett carrying a suspiciously heavy fertilizer bag into the Atrium. He even considered contacting the Sherrif about it”.

Whether he contacted the police is unknown, but he probably didn’t…

I wake up on the street of Silent Hill, and see Joshua running into the Hotel. As I break in, I discover that the Hotel is totally derelict and has no power.

I learn that Mayor Bartlett has frequently visited the Atrium, and the Hotel Manager had died. After restoring power, I take a bumpy ride on the elevator…

I climb on to the third floor just before the elevator falls. A lady in Room 301 asks me to find her memories. As I begin my search, I learn a dark story involving three people.

Their letters reveal that the Hotel Manager’s wife Carol was having an affair with “Sam” (See *Note*), while her husband Clayton was terminally ill.

As I approach Room 405, I hear heavy footsteps… HE saw me.

- There seems to be something behind the painting. Cut it to find out what.
- Room 306 has a unique lock. Find a way to open it.
- Find three memories for the lady in room 301.

== Who is the Lady in Room 301? ==

The Lady cryptically says: “it’s hard to watch something die”. She also says, “I’ve seen horrible things. Darkness. This is no place for a child”.

Some people speculate it’s Alex’s Mom, or even suggest Mary Shepherd from Silent Hill 2.

But if you know Mayor Bartlett’s first name is “Sam”, you can put two and two together. The lady is most likely his lover Carol Doyle, the Hotel Manager’s wife.

Carol, whose husband is terminally ill, started to have an affair with Mayor Bartlett while he was restoring the Atrium Garden.

At 05:32, the note from Clayton indicates that he may have told Carol something about Mayor Bartlett. But what did she learn…?
